The Scout should take an active part in a residential experience, preferably camping, for at least two nights. During the event, they should take part in many of the following activities. Depending on the activity, there may be alternative ideas that could be included, which can be discussed in the Troop Forum.
NAMES            
Spend 2 nights in camp or staying in a hostel.            
Help to pitch and strike a tent.            
Light a fire.            
Set up a camping stove and light it.            
Cook a meal on a stove or fire.            
Demonstrate personal hygiene at camp.            
Keep your own belongings organised and tidy.            
Maintain a tidy and orderly camp site.            
Take part in a wide game.            
Take part in a campfire or other entertainment.            
Help build a pioneering project.            
Make a useful camp gadget or utensil.            
Show you can use a knife safely by carving an object of some kind.            
With others, successfully complete a 2-hour activity.            
Carry out some form of service for the site, lasting at least an hour.            
Emergency Aid
Know the actions to be taken in the event of an accident.            
Know how to call the emergency services and NHS Direct.            
Know how to treat the injuries that can occur at camp: small cuts, burns, stings and bites, etc..
